Red Hot Pickled Sausage - 64 Oz Jar

This product is a hit or miss. I’ve had several jars that are just delicious, and then there is a chance of getting jars that aren’t any good.

I have not had these since my childhood and they are just as good as ever

In our youth growing up in southern Michigan, my two younger siblings and I always looked forward to taking our allowance to the local filling station and treating ourselves to candy—but also more importantly, to Long John’s smoked pickled sausages. I was pleasantly surprised to find a huge jar of Long John’s pickled red hots on my sisters counter when I visited during the holidays—I hadn’t seen (or tasted) them in over thirty years! I had to have one right then and there, followed by another, and one more for the road. They still have the same great taste, quality and that special little snap when you bite into them that I remember from childhood! I was pleased to learn she had ordered the sausages online, and I resolved to buy some for myself when I returned home after the holidays. Much to my surprise, the sausages were all sold out when I checked the website, and again a few months later when I checked again. Clearly, people love these sausages if the company can barely keep them in stock! I finally was able to order two 64 oz jars (which should last a good while…then again, maybe not!), and can now savor these delicious sausages, and all of the memories of chores and yard work I performed to earn a few dollars to buy my favorite snack. It is amazing that the company still maintains the same high quality standards they have had for so many years—and that Long John’s picked sausages still taste as good today as they did way back when!
